Seed Beading Workshop with Of June

n this introduction of handwoven seed bead jewelry you will be introduced to a few simple techniques to get comfortable with working on such a small scale, see examples of what can be accomplished with those techniques learned, and by the end of the workshop, everyone will be able to leave with a small finished beaded ring. If you zip right through the basics, you'll be  provided guidance on how to start a more complex project like a bracelet or necklace, but if you prefer to take your time you will be able to leave with a project and the necessary skills to finish it on your time. 

Materials for this Class (Included with Registration):

  • An assortment of seed beads
  • Weaving needles (size 10 Beadsmith needles)
  • Nymo thread (size B)
  • Beading mats/ Bead trays
  • Reference material/handout

About the Teacher:

Janine Rissewyck is a simply delightful person and the designer and maker of her own seed beaded jewelry line called OfJune. Janine moved to Asheville a few years ago and is happy to call it home, and we are lucky to have her here to share her knowledge, experience, and inspiration. Her work is playful, simple, elegant, and traditional all at the same time, and we can't wait for this workshop!
