Join Echoview and Maria Muscarella (Ninja Chickens) to explore the diverse art of eco printing and bundle dyeing using all natural materials. Spend a fun and relaxed day at Echoview immersed in fiber and plants while learning to eco print on sock blanks and silk. You will be some of the first to experience Echoview’s new sock blanks made from all American yarn. Learn how to prepare your fabrics, what plants produce colored prints, and how to create a print with those that don’t. Wear clothes that can get messy, bring your lunch and your knitting or favorite craft in case we have a bit of down time during the steaming process. Snacks and herbal teas made from our dye plants will be provided. We will spend time discussing and gathering plant materials during class but you are welcome to bring your favorite flowers and leaves to print with. You will go home with two printed sock blanks and a printed silk scarf. (More undyed sock blanks will be available for purchase the day of the class.)
