Food & Dye with CocoNuco

  • Echoview Fiber Mill 76 Jupiter Rd Weaverville United States (map)

We will create intricate textiles for interiors by utilizing food scraps from our neighboring gardens, farms, and restaurants. In this workshop, we will move through a methodical process in transforming food waste into beautiful prints, patterns, and colors onto natural fibers for common home decor pieces, such as cloth napkins, tea towels, and wall hangings. No experience is needed in order to attend.

All supplies are included in the workshop fee. Pre-mordanted blanks of original SOMOS by CocoNuco designs along with pre-dried, hand-crafted botanical pigments for simple home use will also be available for purchase to experiment with in future projects.

About SOMOS by CocoNuco

SOMOS is the handmade clothing collection of CocoNuco, specializing in botanical dyes and sustainable fashion.

Most creations are wildly crafted in small batches, naturally dyed by hand with locally foraged plant matter, and filled with ingredients that love you back.  All goods are stitched together from natural fibers, folk fabric, hand printed textiles, or salvaged materials.

CocoNuco creates one of a kind conceptual pieces for seasonal collections.
