Knitting 102 - 2 Part Class

Knitting 102 - 2 Part Class

Friday, March 2nd + 9th, 6-8 PM

This class is geared towards those who have the essentials covered (cast on, knit, purl, bind off) but are looking to move beyond the basics. In this 2 part class we will be taking an in depth look at yarn sizes and weights, pattern reading, shaping techniques, and knitting samples that will cover the basic stitch glossary found in many patterns.

You'll be supplied with knitting needles and a skein of yarn, as well as a series of small samples to knit and take home with you that will serve as reference points for future projects. You're also welcome to come to class with questions that you may have encountered in past patterns or projects.

Understanding the basic knitting techniques that we cover in Knitting 101 will be important in order to keep up with this class - cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, and binding off.

Christina Danaee (@xtinawithwolves) and Grace Gouin (@gracepcgouin) are knitting enthusiasts, designers, dog lovers, and generally both pretty obsessed with helping more people get into the art of knitting.
